DARYLE LAMBERT - LOOK FOR THE STORK ON ROZENBURG

Monday, December 17th, 2007

We have studied several of the potteries that were produced in this country but how about ones over seas. I would like to start with the one that has been very profitable for me, The Rozenburg Royal Delftware pottery.

I knew nothing about this pottery until I found a plaque at a garage sale and purchased it for just a few dollars. Getting home and studying my price guides I decided to put it up for sale on eBay. I figured that I didn’t know to much about this factory and eBay gave me the best exposure in the European markets.

This was a wonderful piece was a country scene of a Shepherd with his dog leading the flock down a country road. There was also a barn in the picture and the colors were wonderful. The primary color was mauve with some tints of blue and a white sky. It was mounted in a wooden from and when I saw it there was no other decision to be made I had to own it.

As the auction progressed I couldn’t believe my eyes as the price soon pasted $1000. The next day when I went to my computer I could hardly keep my composure, there, right there it said $1500 for a purchase that I had made for under $20. The final price came to almost $2000 and you betcha that got my attention.

But what was so special about this piece? Later I found out that the artist at the Rozenburg factory were some of the best in all of Europe. This company started in 1883 and closed in 1917. It never seemed to be able to become profitable even when it changed to composition of it production lines many times.

In 1900 something good finally happened to the Rozenburg factory when the director, Jurriaan Kok launched a new line called eggshell porcelain. This was done at the 1900 Worlds Exhibition in Paris. This new porcelain was and immediate hit and the factory for several year became extremely profitable. But only for a few years and then it was back to its losing ways.

This new porcelain was so thin that it was almost unusable but the people loved it. The colors were vivid and interesting on all the pieces that were produced and this was a big change from the earlier works that were rather muted.. Pieces included vases, mantel clocks, dishes and jugs and today they are much in demand.

To give you an idea a cup and sauce in the eggshell should bring you at lest $1000 if it is one of the better patterns. You must be asking where can I find one? At your local garage sales would be my answer because very few with the exception of you would know what they were looking at.. You see never go out shopping with out looking at the bottom of each cup and sauce that is displayed, but how would I know it then? Rozenburg has a very distinctive mark, it is a Stork standing on one leg. I have never run into any fakes up to the point but I am not saying there won’t be in the future.

I would like to share just one more little story with you about Rozenburg. This was when Warner and I were partners and I was scanning the Antique trader and my eyes notice this tile that was enormous. I think it was almost 3 feet by 3 feet. It liked like Rozenburg but the ad didn’t say it was. I call and sure enough it was Rozenburg. My memory may be a like off after these years but I bid from my phone on this piece that was being auctioned off in Florida. If my memory is correct I think that I bought it for $1500 and Warner sold it to a man in Canada that drove to Chicago to pick it up for $5000, not a bad days woks.

Watch for that Stork it can put money in your bank account.

OUR GOAL IS SET - ANTIQUES & COLLECTIBLES Will Do The Rest

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

The weather is changing and it is getting cooler, but now is the time for our members to get into high gear. Most dealers are thinking the season is about to end, but not for us.

Yes, the pumpkins are out, the leaves are changing colors, and bad weather might be approaching, but we can turn this to our advantage. Less competition means more success for the ones that are ready to go that extra mile.

The consignment shops will still be open and so will antique malls. Don’t forget about the classifieds in your newspaper. With other avenues closed, people will start to sell their things in the classifies.

This is a great time to post fliers in the pet shops, court house, grocery store and even schools, if they will allow it. There are many places to post your ads and this is just a short list of them. (Refer to my book, 31 Steps to Your Millions in Antiques and Collectibles for more detailed information and resources.) Be sure that your ad lists the things that you are looking for and gives your phone number and email. At the end of your ad you might want to say that you buy estates.

With the flea markets closing and garage sales being finished for the year, you can become the market in your area for people that have items for sale. Take advantage of this great opportunity to advance your steps in the race while others are closing up shop or thinking about the upcoming holidays.

We, of the 31 Gang, have set our goal for the rest of this year, and it is to complete Steps 1 through 8. You might say that we are being rather aggressive, but why not? If we fall short of 8 steps, that would mean we would have done three or four times the goal I spoke about in the book, which was 1 step every six months. Not bad for a band of merry women and men. But, if we do complete 8 steps, it will mean that the gang has completed 8 steps within six months and that accumulating wealth is very possible. You set your own pace.

I am so excited to see Justin, Cathy, Lisa, Cecil, Cynthia, Vicki and Susanne begin their journey with us. I am waiting to hear from more of you, and I am sure that the field will be bunched up as we cross the finish line together at the end of our MILLION DOLLAR RACE.

Good Hunting to all and to all have a great race.

I MUST COME CLEAN - What a TEAM

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

My book about wealth building through antiques & collectibles, “31 Steps to Your Millions,” has been out for about 90 days now, and it has more than exceeded my expectations. Not long after the release of the book, our 31 Club was formed. The members have stepped up to the starting gate with their best racing gear on. I am so proud of all that are participating.

There are already success stories that would turn anyone’s head. One lady turned $100 into $832.71 the first week of our contest. Another gentleman spent $5.00 and got back $190. Try to get that return at your bank. Just imagine the kind of numbers we’re going to be seeing as we advance toward the finish line!

In this short period of time, there has been a fantastic website assembled with all of its elements: A Home Page second to none, a Fine Arts Gallery with a large array of beautiful paintings, a Daily Blog of interesting informatiom to help our members on their journey, Joshua’s Page to help junior collectors, and last but certainly not least in importance, the advertising for the 31 Club membership. Wow Wow Wow.

To think that only a few months ago this project was still in my mind. There wasn’t even a word on paper at that time.

The Club and Book have been featured on both search engines, Google and Yahoo, and if you don’t believe it, just go and type in Daryle Lambert, 31 Club or 31 Steps to Your Millions. Get ready because you will be surprised at the number of reference you will see. The Blog is carried by at least eight locations, and the national advertising has continued day in and day out. Joshua and I have appeared on NBC and at The Chicago Antique Market. A new character has been created, The Guy in the Red Tie. I know that I have missed a few things, but so much has been accomplished.

How has this all happened? I must come clean. Second, it is because of our wonderful Club members, but first of all, it is because of your great team behind the scenes. I hope you appreciate them as much as I do. This success has come only by the hard and exhausting work that has been done by Cindy Nieder, my right hand lady. Boy can she work. I have asked her to do more than ten people could accomplish, and without hesitation, she completes every assignment. Clarke F. Echols,Sr, -where do I start? He took a manuscript that a first grader could have written and turned it into a best seller. I wouldn’t want to know the hours he spent just correcting my grammar. Now comes my opportunity to thank the person, that without him, we would still be at peg one: Chris Erbach. He is truly a magician. All of the tech work, from forming the home page to posting of pictures comes from Chris. In fact, I lean on him so much that he has put me on a time table. At 7:15 every morning, he expects a call from me.

I can understand some of what Cindy and Clarke do, but how Chris does the things he does is a total mystery to me. Thanks Gang, and I appreciate you taking me along on the journey. The 31 Gang will meet our members at the end of the $1,000,000 race.

Let me hear from you.

Gathering at the Starting Gate - Steady Now

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

I am so amazed at the reaction that our blog has received today.

I knew that people could be encouraged and that they would take action if they believed in something, but never to this extent. I have been busy all day answering emails from people that are ready to go. We are going to have participants of all ages in this race from elementary school students to senior citizens. I am already worried that I may not be able to keep up, but I said it didn’t matter, right. I am very competitive so I may have to eat my own words.

We are working on the members only section of the website - www.31corp.com. You should be sure to view it every day for information that will be needed for this race. You, the members of the 31 Club, have gotten me so excited that I will have to rein my thoughts back in. I will get back to sharing informatiom with you that is necessary to assure your success.

I have been viewing the Maine Antique Digest, Antique Weekly and the Antique Trader today, finding that this is the best time in history to begin this race. Record prices are being recorded everyday for paintings, pottery, art glass, furniture and collectibles in general.

The quicker each one of us can come up to speed in our knowledge of the rarities in this market, the sooner our successes will show. Over the next few months I hope to provide the information you will need plus other resources for you to use. This will keep you at the head of the pack. Be sure to get plenty of rest because this isn’t just a sprint but more like the Kentucky Derby! Please share your thoughts about the race with us.
