Listed Artist

Oil on Canvas

24 15/16" by 29 1/8" Framed

20" by 24"  Unframed

This is an original oil on canvas PAINTING by WALLACE WEIR FAHNESTOCK (Vermont, 1877 - 1962).

A  beautiful twilight snow scene in colorful blues, lavenders, and reds with the added appeal two bunnies looking to have a meal on the tender sapling trees. However, the landowner has twarted them by wrapping the saplings' trunks with a protective wrap!

The homestead and barns are on the far right middle of the painting with the large pastel colored mountains in the background. The painting is iIn VERY GOOD condition overall. It does have some craculature along the bottom edge of the top wood stretcher, apparently due to physical pressure on the canvas, which caused the paint to crack slightly . A slight cleaning would undoubtly bring out more of the superb colors. The painting will be PROFESSIONALLY packaged and the exact cost will be charged.
